What this site is

Contractor License Search republishes contractor license records from state licensing boards' public data files: license status, classification, bond and workers' compensation information where the board publishes it, and disciplinary actions from board reports. Each record shows the date of the file it came from and links to the official record.

What it is not

This site is not a consumer reporting agency, and its pages are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use information from this site to decide a person's eligibility for employment as an employee, credit, insurance, or housing, or for any other purpose covered by the FCRA. The site is not affiliated with any state licensing board or government agency.

Accuracy

Records are shown as published by the boards and may be out of date, incomplete, or matched imperfectly. Some disciplinary actions are linked to a current license by name and city rather than license number; those are labeled. Always confirm a license with the issuing board before you hire. Information is provided as is, without warranty of any kind.

Corrections

If a record is wrong, use the corrections form. We review every report and fix or remove records that don't match the board's current data.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made using this site or for damages arising from its use.
